Fall Family Day is on Sunday, November 1! Meet us on the Trolley Trail to learn about the Patapsco Valley through family-friendly activities. Discover the macroinvertebrates that live in the stream and find out how to identify them. Create a fall nature project to take home, explore the trail and its history through scavenger hunts, and enjoy a storybook walk provided by Backwater Books!

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Elkridge Furnace Inn for our Evening in the Patapsco Valley fundraiser last week, and to our featured speaker, Humane Gardener - Nancy Lawson!

During the evening, we were proud to present the 2026 Grace Kubofcik Friend of the Patapsco Award to the Rockburn Land Trust. The award recognizes individuals and organizations for exceptional stewardship, interpretation, and/or preservation of the environment, history, and culture of the Patapsco River Valley.

Rockburn Land Trust is a nonprofit organization that has provided advocacy, protection and preservation of the area’s environmental and historical resources in the northeastern part of Howard County. Formed in 1989, it is one of the oldest land trusts in Maryland. As an all-volunteer organization, there has been a tremendous amount of time, treasure and talent to build the Land Trust and accomplish significant conservation projects for the Patapsco Valley. Congratulations!
