📆Next Saturday June 13th, come join us for the 1st ever PUPS & POPO event.
The East Ellijay Police Department is partnering with Ellijay Paws In Need from 10 AM - 2 PM at the Walmart East Ellijay. Our local Law Enforcement Officers will be out in attendance for an amazing meet and greet with some of our amazing furbabies🐾
Chick-fil-A Ellijay will be in attendance with delicious treats, Ellijay Animal Hospital will be present and conducting a Rabies Clinic the vaccines will be approximately $10.00 ea (cash only).
Thank you to Tractor Supply in East Ellijay for their donations, Thank you, East Ellijay Police Department for putting together this amazing event and helping out dogs at the Gilmer County Animal Shelter 🫶

Has anyone seen this sweet boy? He went missing from Tails Creek Church Road since 6/2/26.

Have you seen this sweet boy. His name is Ollie. Last seen April 16, 2025 at McGraw Ford WMA in Ball Ground, GA. Ollie is a sweet friendly boy and has a chip .Ollie is tenacious and relentless so we refuse to give up on finding him, and we desperately need your help to bring him home.

Our sweet orange, Valencia has found her family! 🍊🤩

Valencia arrived at our shelter in February with suspected Horner’s syndrome, she was missing bone in her sinuses AND she was FeLV+. After much medical care and love from our Enrichment volunteers, it became apparent that nothing was going to get in the way of this young darling from stealing the hearts of everyone! She’s incredibly affectionate, loves being held and loves all her feline playmates. The lack of her sinus bone may give her occasional sniffles but her pug nose is such an adoring feature!
