EES attendance has started the year off strongly! We want to thank parents and guardians for making sure students are at school all day, on time to school, and ready to learn.
Consistent elementary school attendance is one of the strongest predictors of a child's long-term academic and social success. When children miss school, they don't just miss time to socialize with peers; they miss foundational building blocks of their education.
EES has added a new way for parents/guardians to communicate with the school about attendance. Each day, Parent Square will automatically send an alert to the parents of any student marked absent. Parents can click the link in the notification to submit an absence excuse directly to the school.
Parents may continue to send paper notes with their students or email [email protected]. Please remember that for an absence to be marked as excused, it must be the criteria outlined in the 2026-2027 Student-Parent Handbook. Medical excuses from a doctor's office should be sent when possible. Handwritten parent notes are limited to 10 excuses per school year.
