Cadets enjoyed another round of powered orientation flights, which happen year-round! Besides being fun, our CAP pilots also teach the basics of flight, flight controls, and walk through beginning maneuvers 🛩

Members of the 507th participated in the Wreaths Across America event today at the Georgia National Cemetery to honor and remember veterans who served our nation.

A few cadets of the 507th enjoyed some flight time at a brisk Orientation Flight day today. Thank you to our amazing volunteer pilots for making these flights possible!

Airplane build night was a success! Fierce competition ensued as cadets of the 507th built and tested planes at tonight's meeting ✈️

Today, Georgia Wing honors the brave men and women who have served our nation. On this Veterans Day, we take a moment to recognize the sacrifices, courage, and dedication of our veterans who have protected our freedom and way of life.

From the battlefields to the skies, veterans have answered the call to serve with unwavering commitment. Many members of Civil Air Patrol, past and present, have proudly worn the uniform of our nation's armed forces. We are grateful for their service and the values they have instilled in the next generation of cadets and volunteers.

To all who have served, we thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your continued inspiration. Today, we honor you.

Thanks to all who made it to our Fall Open House earlier this week! Prospective cadets & parents got to check out Civil Air Patrol Cessnas, and learn all about various CAP programs. We even practiced some basic drill movements. We hope to see you all back next week for our regular weekly meeting!

The 507th was honored to raise the American flag at the opening of the Gilmer County Fair every evening this week 🇺🇲

Ellijay Composite Squadron held a Change of Command ceremony yesterday - outgoing Cadet Commander C/Capt Breton Sergeant passed the baton to incoming Cadet Commander C/Capt Isabella Hunt. We also recognized C/2dLt Chance Conowal and C/2dLt Luke Hardeman for their recent achievement of the Billy Mitchell Award and promotion to Lieutenant. We were honored to host Group 5 Commander Lt. Col Steven St. Claire to present these awards, and CAP-USAF liaison Maj. Alex Gerard to audit the ceremony.

We thank the outgoing Cadet Commander Sergeant for his hard work and leadership, and congratulate incoming Cadet Commander Hunt, and C/2dLt Conowal and C/2dLt Hardeman for their achievements!
