🧙‍♂️✨ The Magic Has Begun at Downeast Horizons! 🪄🏰

Our Ellsworth Children's Program is bringing Hogwarts to life as they prepare for our Annual Halloween Decorating Contest! 🎃

Each week, program participants are taking part in fun, Harry Potter-themed activities while building social skills, friendships, confidence, and teamwork!

🪄 Week 1 – The Sorting Ceremony! Participants put on the Sorting Hat and discovered which Hogwarts house they belonged to: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, or Hufflepuff!

🧪 Week 2 – Potions Class! Our young witches and wizards got creative making their very own magical potions, complete with fun ingredients, unique names, and a little imagination!

There is still plenty of magic to come as everyone works together to transform the program into Hogwarts for Halloween!

We can't wait to see what they create next! ✨

On Sept 17 th our dearest friend Michael Crowley peacefully passed away. Michael was always so
much fun to be around telling jokes or listening to his favorite tunes from Johnny Cash. Rides in
the Van cruising around town with Michael’s favorite songs and heading to “Bar Harbor” were
such fun times.
Michael shared a great love of outside; animals and children and you could often hear him belly
laughing when they were around deep into his soul. Michael often enjoyed singing with those
around him pieces of songs he enjoyed often a 1 , 2 rubber duckies, you’re the one could be
heard or a hey, good looking what ya got cooking.
Michael was a very resilient man who will be missed so greatly by his family at Downeast
Horizons , our hearts are saddened by our loss but we know how blessed we all were to have
known and cared for him.
