There was a small black coin purse found in the park at 7th and Lawrence, if it’s yours please come to the station Monday - Friday 7a-3p and provide the details of its contents to pick it up.

On 11/22/2024 at approximately 1120 PM Officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the 1200 block of Lawrence Avenue. Upon further investigation it was determined that an unknown actor broke into a residence, took a set of keys to a vehicle then stole the vehicle crashing it into another vehicle then fleeing the scene on foot.

Officers further located multiple other vehicles that seemed to be rummaged through in the area. It is believed that the actor was breaking into multiple vehicles between 1030 PM - an unknown time.

If residents in the West End area, namely Factory Avenue, Beaver Avenue, Lawrence Avenue, Center Avenue and Crescent Avenue could please check their cameras and see if they have any footage of an actor breaking into vehicles, houses, or other suspicious activity and let us know we would appreciate it.

This husky was found and turned in from the area of North Street near Line Avenue this morning with a broken tie out cable.

We received calls for thefts from motor vehicles in the area of Todd Avenue and Clover Street including a stolen vehicle overnight. That vehicle was later crashed and the occupants fled from the crash at approximately 0430 hours in the area of Jefferson Avenue and Wood Street. The actors were last seen in the area of the 400 block of Haig Street before disappearing.

We are asking that anyone in the area of Clover Avenue, Cedar Street, Todd Avenue, First Avenue and also the Ewing Park (specifically Jefferson Avenue, Haig Street and up toward Wampum Avenue) area to check their cameras for anything suspicious overnight such as people walking.

On 12/25/2023 at approximately 0615 hours, the ECPD was dispatched to a suspicious person attempting to break into houses and steal Christmas Joy.

The actor, identified as The Grinch, was seen in the area of Fountain Avenue and a short foot chase ensued. The actor was caught, and taken into custody and booked on felony charges of theft.
