🚧 Know Before You Go, Naperville: Thursday Morning Traffic Update 🚧

Starting as early as 9am tomorrow (10/15), crews will be completing pavement milling on Book Road between 87th Street and Leverenz Road.

Flaggers will be onsite to help keep traffic moving, but drivers may experience minor slowdowns and will be directed through the active work zone as crews prepare for pavement restoration.

This work is anticipated to be completed tomorrow in preparation for pavement restoration.

🚧 Heads up, Naperville. 🚧

Crews will be installing reflective pavement markers tomorrow (10/14) along Book Road between 75th Street and 83rd Street on the newly paved roadway. These markers will help improve lane visibility for drivers, especially at night.

Flaggers will be on site to help direct traffic while this work is underway.

Please plan for brief delays, slow down while traveling through the work zone, and allow a little extra travel time.

This work is anticipated to be completed on the same day.

🚧 Traffic Update: Book Road Progress 🚧

Good news, Naperville! Book Road between 75th Street and 83rd Street is expected to REOPEN to traffic by the end of day tomorrow (Saturday, 10/10).

Following the reopening, construction will shift south of 95th Street beginning Monday, October 12.

After a thorough review of potential traffic configurations with the City of Naperville, Illinois, Government and key project partners, all parties agreed that maintaining a single southbound lane is the safest and most efficient option for moving traffic safely through the area while construction continues.

To help minimize impacts, crews will work extended hours to expedite this phase of work.

We know many of you are wondering: When will the westbound lane of 95th Street and Book Road reopen in Naperville?

While the sinkhole at 95th Street and Book Road has been mitigated, one westbound lane of 95th Street remains closed as an added safety precaution while crews continue working in the area.

In the meantime, please allow extra time and use caution while traveling through all work zones.

🚧 Book Road Construction Update, Naperville 🚧

Beginning late next week, WaterLink construction will extend south of 95th Street along Book Road.

As work moves into this area, Book Road between 95th Street and Conan Doyal Road will be open to southbound traffic ONLY. Northbound traffic will need to follow the posted detour.

Construction Schedule Update, Oswego. 🚧

Due to weather conditions, today's planned closure of the neighborhood entrance at Riesling Road and Wolf's Crossing has been delayed.

The closure is now tentatively scheduled to begin Monday, October 5, and is anticipated to last approximately one week while crews install 36" water main.

During the closure, residents will be able to access the neighborhood from Roth Road to the east or 5th Street to the west.

Crews have repaired the large sinkhole on the north side of the intersection at 95th Street and Book Road.

Westbound 95th Street will remain reduced to one lane through the intersection until pavement restoration is complete.

Please plan for minor delays and use extra caution when traveling through the intersection.

🚨 TRAFFIC ALERT, NAPERVILLE: 95th Street & Book Road 🚨

UPDATE Crews have worked overnight to backfill the sinkhole that formed yesterday afternoon. As of this morning, the following traffic impacts are in place:

🚧 Westbound lanes of 95th Street are reduced to one lane through the intersection at Book Road.
✅ Southbound Book Road has reopened from Tamahawk Lane to 95th Street.
✅ All lanes of Eastbound 95th Street are open.
✅ Northbound Book Road south of 95th Street remains open, and left turns onto westbound 95th Street have been restored.

Crews are on the scene addressing a large sinkhole that formed this afternoon on the north side of the intersection at 95th Street and Book Road, extending into the westbound lanes of 95th Street.

For the safety of the public and crews, the following traffic impacts are in place:

🚧 All westbound lanes of 95th Street are closed from Ashbury Drive to just through the intersection at Book Road.
🚧 Southbound Book Road is closed from Tamahawk Lane to 95th Street.
✅ Eastbound 95th Street is reduced to one lane at the intersection of Book Road.
✅ Northbound Book Road south of 95th Street remains open, but there are no left turns onto westbound 95th Street.

A detour is in place for westbound 95th Street traffic:

➡️ South on Ashbury Drive
➡️ West on Conan Doyle Road
➡️ To Book Road

These closures will remain in place until emergency repairs and pavement restoration are complete.

Please avoid the intersection, follow posted detour signage, and allow extra travel time. We will share additional information as it becomes available.

🚧 Schedule update, Oswego! 🚧

The Roth Road closure originally anticipated for earlier this week is now scheduled to begin TOMORROW (9/18).

The full closure will extend from just south of Wolf's Crossing Road to the north side of the Magical Garden Center.

🚧 Local traffic should follow the posted detour.
📅 The closure is anticipated to last approximately two weeks, weather permitting.
🚗 Please plan ahead, give yourself extra travel time, and slow down through work zones.
