Congratulations to Minh Vo and Stephanie Dunbar for being recognized as the October Students of the Month by the local Rotary Club.
Stephanie Dunbar
Stephanie Dunbar is a senior at Twin Valley High School who has spent her years playing lacrosse and field hockey and participating in mini-THON, the French Honors Society, the National Honor Society, the French Club, the Varsity Club, and High School Heroes. Recently, her senior class elected her secretary for the graduating class of 2027, and she was on homecoming court. In her activities, Stephanie served as Morale Overall officer for mini-THON for a year, planning events and maintaining student involvement. Last year, Stephanie captained the girls' lacrosse team and has been the varsity goalie since her freshman year. Stephanie and the girls’ lacrosse team won the county championship, placed second in the district, and were PIAA State champions in the 2025-2026 season. Stephanie earned All-County Honorable Mention and All-Tourney Team honors from PA Lax for her performance in the state championship game. Outside of school, Stephanie plays for Philly Blast, a club lacrosse team consistently ranked among the top in the nation. She also works as a lifeguard and youth lacrosse referee. Stephanie has maintained a 4.342 GPA and challenges herself with 9 honors classes and 8 AP classes, earning a place on the distinguished honor roll for most terms throughout high school. Stephanie is interested in working with children and in physical therapy. During her junior year, she interned at Twin Valley Elementary Center, learning about children and their diverse work ethics. This year, she is interning at Philo Physical Therapy, where she learns about patient care, the body, and the profession as a whole. Next year, Stephanie will attend Queen's University of Charlotte, where she plans to play Division I lacrosse and major in exercise health/science on a pre-physical therapy track.
Minh Vo
Minh Vo is a senior at Twin Valley High School. He is actively involved in athletics, particularly lacrosse and football. In lacrosse, Minh is a fogo, which means he plays faceoffs, and has earned BCIAA All-Conference Honorable Mention and Twin Valley High School’s Most Improved award. Academically, he maintains a GPA above 4.25 while challenging himself with 10 AP classes and 12 honors classes. He serves as Vice President of the National Honor Society, where he helps organize and manage meetings, and as an officer in the Technology Student Association, where he supports students in exploring their interests in STEM. He is also involved in Varsity Club, High School Heroes, and Ski Club. As part of his school-day schedule, Minh interns at Honey Brook Dental. This experience allows him to learn more about the dental profession in a real-world setting and gain a better understanding of patient care. After graduating from Twin Valley, he plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh, major in biology, and follow a pre-dental track. His long-term goal is to attend dental school and eventually specialize in orthodontics. Minh is grateful for his family’s constant support and appreciates everything they have done to help him grow into the person he is today.
