🎃👻 Lorain County Trunk‑or‑Treat Fun!

We had an amazing time last night at the Lorain County Elected Officials & Departments Trunk or Treat with Lorain County Ohio Government. The creativity was everywhere — families in full Halloween spirit, kids showing off incredible costumes, and departments coming together to make sure everyone had a safe and fun evening.

Our Office staff added plenty of color dressed as crayons, and the community loved it. Seeing families laughing, neighbors connecting, and everyone enjoying the night reminded us how strong and vibrant Lorain County truly is.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, decorated a trunk, or helped make the event special. We’re grateful for this community and proud to be part of it. 🧡🎃

Proud to recognize the outstanding work of the Lorain County Prosecutor’s Office following this significant trial victory.

Congratulations to Daniellela Leigh, Matt Kern, and Anna Evans for their unwavering commitment to justice and their dedication to keeping our community safe.

The jury found Keon Reed guilty, and the Court found Kelaina Flores guilty, for their respective roles in the 2024 Lorain murder. Both were sentenced to life in prison, reflecting the severity of the crime and the strength of the team’s work in presenting the facts and securing accountability.

This case demanded not only legal skill, but remarkable courage and composure. They stood firm in their responsibility to seek the truth and uphold the safety of everyone present. Their professionalism and resilience reflect the very best of public service in Lorain County.

A sincere thank‑you to the Lorain Police Department and Detective Mike Murphy for their partnership and tireless work on this case. Justice is strongest when our agencies stand together in service to the community.

🕯️ Honoring the National Day of Remembrance in Lorain County 🕯️

Last night, the Lorain County Prosecutor’s Office was deeply honored to host the National Day of Remembrance at Ely Square — a powerful evening of reflection, healing, and community.

Coming together with survivors, families, advocates, and neighbors reminded us why this day matters so much. Every candle lit, every story shared, and every moment of quiet remembrance carried the weight of love, loss, and unwavering strength.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Victim/Witness Division, whose dedication, compassion, and tireless support uplift victims’ families not just on days like this — but every single day. Their work is the backbone of our commitment to justice, healing, and hope in Lorain County.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, stood with us, and helped shine a light for those we remember and those who continue to heal.
Together, we honor. Together, we support. Together, we remember.

Today marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

We pause to remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost, honor the courage of the first responders who ran toward danger, and recognize the sacrifices made by those who answered the call to serve in the days and years that followed.

On this solemn anniversary, the Lorain County Prosecutor's Office joins our community and our nation in reflecting on the resilience, unity, and strength that emerged from one of the most tragic days in American history.

We will never forget the victims, the heroes, and the lessons of September 11.
