CREC Academy of Computer Science and Engineering High School CREC Academy of Computer Science and Engineering High School inspires tomorrowโ€™s leaders through a comprehensive technology-focused curriculum.

Students can pursue one of three specialized pathways: computer science, design, or entrepreneurship. At Academy of Computer Science and Engineering High School (formerly Civic Leadership) (CLHS), your child will build a rรฉsumรฉ unmatched by that of his or her peers! Through our unique coursework, students earn public safety certifications not available at any other high school, while completing a rigorous college preparatory program. Our semi-annual Public Service Day provides opportunities to put learning into action, and each student completes over fifty hours of community service during their four years of high school. In the classroom, extensive opportunities to earn college credit enable our graduates to enter college as sophomores.

Engineering the future, one angle at a time! ๐Ÿค–

โœจOur student heroes in the brand-new Robotics 1 class are officially putting their problem-solving skills to the test. After completing their custom chassis bots, they took on a major challenge: navigating a complex floor maze filled with non-90-degree angles using manual precision. Next stop? Writing the algorithms to make these bots navigate the exact same maze completely on their own! ๐Ÿ’ป

๐Ÿง  When young minds learn to bridge hands-on engineering with autonomous coding, thereโ€™s no limit to what they can achieve. Parents, thank you for guiding and encouraging these bright innovators every step of the way.

๐Ÿ’™What advice or encouragement would you give our future robotics engineers as they start programming their bots for autonomous mode? Drop your words of wisdom in the comments below! ๐Ÿ‘‡

Did you know? Comp Sci High is currently the ONLY CREC school offering UConn's MATH 1070Q: Math for Business and Economics! ๐Ÿ“Šโœจ

Our Eagles are getting a head start on their college journeys right here in our classrooms, tackling college-level linear equations, probability, and financial math through the UConn Early College Experience (ECE) program. Opportunities like this save our families tuition and set our students up for real-world success in business, tech, and beyond. ๐Ÿ’ก๐Ÿ’™

We are so proud of these students for pushing their limits and inspiring us every day! ๐Ÿฆ…
