Enid City Manager Jerald Gilbert highlighted the success of the Kaw Lake Water Supply Project during a water panel hosted by the Conservation Coalition of Oklahoma last night.

He attended the panel alongside Mayor David Mason and Director of Engineering Murali Katta, discussing how Enid’s long-term planning and regional approach to water security are helping prepare the community for future growth.

Gilbert said, “To find a solution, you’ve got to come together, work to find that solution, and you’ve got to get started early. You can’t wait until you have a crisis.”

“Kaw Lake is our solution for our water future. We knew during the drought of 2012 that groundwater alone would not sustain Enid’s future, and we had to start looking for another solution. Because we started early, we were able to secure a $350 million water source that will serve our citizens, residents and businesses for generations to come.”

Potholes can form when water gets into cracks in the asphalt and weakens the road beneath it.

When you report a pothole through SeeClickFix, the report is sent to the patch crew. The crew inspects the area, clears loose material, adds cold mix, and rolls the patch to help create a smooth, safe surface.

The City of Enid has a two-person pothole crew working Monday through Friday.

Help us identify potholes in your area: download or visit SeeClickFix at seeclickfix.com, create an account, and submit a report.
