Outdoor plans this weekend? Here's a look at the temperature forecast. Most locations will remain dry through the day Sunday with only low rain chances across the far west. Rain chances will increase across the west Sunday night.

Nice day today and the next couple will be very similar. A storm system will then bring a chance or rain and a few storms to the area. Highest chances will remain across western OK and western north Texas.

Yesterday, GCEM Director Jacob Price and Sheriff Cory Rink joined several agencies from around the state for an aircraft and helicopter accident training course.

The training covered scene safety, aircraft and helicopter hazards, rescue considerations, and risk mitigation when responding to these types of incidents.

Continuing education and training are important to help ensure responders are better prepared to work together when emergencies happen.

Thank you to the Enid Police Department, Vance Fire Department, and the FAA for providing this training opportunity and helping strengthen coordination between local, and federal agencies.

Rain chances will increase later this weekend into early next week. Impactful rainfall is not likely with this activity. Most locations may see up to an inch through Monday.

Rain chances return to our area late Friday and into early next week. For now, the bulk of the rain appears to stay west of our forecast area. However, there is a medium chance at least over northwest Oklahoma on Saturday.

WEATHER UPDATE – 10/14/2026 | 9:02 AM

A rainy day is in store for the area today. We remain under a marginal risk for severe weather through today and into Thursday morning. The main threats include hail up to the size of half dollars, winds up to 70 MPH, and a very low to low tornado threat.

As I mentioned yesterday, flooding will be the main concern through today and into tomorrow. Remember, never drive into high or moving water! Turn around, don’t drown.

We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as needed.
