Thank you to everyone who joined us last week in Portsmouth, NH, for PGANE’s 2026 Annual Meeting! It was a great two days of connecting with members, sharing ideas, and discussing what’s ahead for our industry.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Kim Callen of Eastern Propane & Oil for her service on the PGANE Board and her leadership as chair. Kim has given so much of her time and energy to PGANE, and we are grateful for the thoughtfulness and experience she brought to the role. It has been a pleasure working with her, and we deeply appreciate her commitment to our members and this industry!

As Kim passes the gavel, we’re excited to congratulate Rich Donnell of RD Energy Consulting, LLC as he steps into the role of PGANE chair! We look forward to supporting his leadership and building on the significant contributions he has already made to PGANE in his previous years on the board. We’re grateful for his continued dedication and proud to celebrate this next chapter with him. Congratulations, Rich!

Please also join us in welcoming Christina Armentano of Paraco as our new secretary! We look forward to working with her and are excited for all that she will accomplish during her time on the board.

A special thank you to our panelists for sharing their knowledge and perspectives:

Jim Blake of Eastern Propane & Oil and Matt Cota of Meadow Hill joined us for “Propane – Living the Good Life!” to reflect on industry successes and discuss how to keep that momentum going.

Nate McShinsky of Eastern Propane & Oil, Lucy Shaffer of Shaffer's Bottled Gas, Bill Dawes of Santa Energy, and Christina Armentano of Paraco explored how AI can support propane businesses, from customer service and marketing to delivery planning and everyday operations.

To all of our attendees, thank you for making time to participate and contribute to these conversations. Be sure to keep an eye on our event page for our upcoming events: https://pgane.org/newsroom/events/!

From summer grilling to winter heating and backup power during storms, propane helps keep life running in Newport and the islands of Narragansett Bay. For island communities that rely on delivered fuels, dependable service is essential in every season.

Go behind the scenes with Newport Propane to meet the hardworking people who make it happen, even when coastal weather makes deliveries a challenge.

Thank you for sharing your story and highlighting the dedication it takes to keep these communities fueled!

Last month, we were back at the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy for another round of Emergency Response Trainings!

Programs like these wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of so many people who continue to give their time, knowledge, and expertise to make them a success. We’re especially grateful to our dedicated instructors who volunteer their time to step up time and time again to share their experience and help strengthen emergency response knowledge and safety throughout our industry. This program wouldn't be as successful as it is without their time and effort!

A huge thank you as well to the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy for continuing to be such a valuable partner and for all they do to provide a hands-on learning environment for our trainings.

And, of course, thank you to all of the students who joined us and the companies that made it possible for their employees to participate. We know taking time away from busy schedules isn’t always easy, and we appreciate everyone who made this important training a priority.

It takes a lot of people working together to make these programs happen, and we’re incredibly grateful for the dedicated community behind them. Thank you to everyone who helped make another great training possible!

Happy National Propane Day!

10/06/2026

As we continue our countdown to tomorrow's National Propane Day, we’re highlighting one of the things that makes propane so valuable: dependability.

When the power goes out or severe weather and natural disasters disrupt other energy sources, propane can be there when it’s needed most. And behind that reliable energy source are hardworking people who make sure it gets where it needs to go.

We heard from our members from Eastern Propane & Oil, Proctor Gas, and Palmer Gas & Oil about the reliability of propane and the dedication of the employees who kept New Englanders fueled through another busy winter.

Reliable energy. Dedicated people. That’s something worth celebrating as we get ready for National Propane Day tomorrow!

10/05/2026

National Propane Day is just two days away, and we’re celebrating all the ways propane makes a difference in our everyday lives!

With so many great uses for propane, picking a favorite isn’t easy. So, as part of our ongoing video partnership with the team at Meadow Hill Media, we caught up with some of our members from Lin's Propane Trucks and E.J. Wyson Trucking to hear which propane uses they simply couldn’t go without.

From everyday essentials to the uses you might not expect, there’s a lot to love about propane, and plenty worth celebrating this National Propane Day!
