A little late, but much thanks to Community United Church for providing Thanksgiving dinner for our Veterans. We appreciate your continued support and the generosity that you show to the residents of Liberty House!

We are so grateful for our Volunteers every day, but especially this International Volunteer Day!

Between the Wesleyville American Legion Post 571, Son of the American Legion, and the American Legion Riders $750 worth of gift cards were donated to the Veterans at Liberty House. Thank you for always remembering the Veterans at Liberty House during Thanksgiving! We are honored to have your support.

Meet Mike, A Veteran Restored 🇺🇸

Mike served 16 years in the U.S. Army. He was a drill sergeant, a business owner, a husband, a homeowner. But addiction and bad decisions cost him everything, his home — his family, his hope.

When Mike got out of prison, he had nowhere to go. “I was depressed,” he said. “I didn’t think there were any good people left.”

Then he found EUMA’s Liberty House, a place where homeless Veterans find shelter, support, and a path forward.
“The EUMA staff saved my life,” Mike shared. “Now I’m working on their maintenance team, giving back and seeing that there are good people out there. Meeting them restored my faith.”

Your gift helps Veterans like Mike find safety, healing, and a home of their own.

Today and every day we are so grateful to our Veterans. Honoring all who served this Veterans Day.
We have the privilege to work with some of the finest Veterans every single day and we never take that for granted.

Thank you to Darlene Dunn for her generous donation. Darlene hosts an annual golf outing in memory of her husband, Lance, who served in Vietnam, and she gifts the proceeds to the veterans who live at Liberty House. With you, we remember Lance, his service and the gift he was to the world. We are filled with gratitude to be part of Lance’s legacy.

Meet Joe — a shining example of resilience, hard work, and the power of stability. Joe is a former Liberty House resident and a true success story of how EUMA’s resources can help transform lives.

Today, Joe is housed, attending school, working, and giving back to his community. This past weekend, he stepped into the spotlight by entering his first art piece in the 2025 AWS Weld Art Competition in Erie, alongside his instructor, DeLayne Jacobs.

👏 Congrats to Joe for this huge milestone and to DeLayne for placing in the competition! We’re so proud of both of you and inspired by Joe’s journey from veteran in need to artist, student, and community leader.

EUMA Headquarters and the Rainbow Connection Thrift Store are closed Monday the 26th in observance of Memorial Day.

We pause to remember and give heartfelt thanks to those who have selflessly served and sacrificed for our country. Your courage and dedication will never be forgotten. ❤️🤍💙
