šŸŒŽ Today is World Children’s Day—a reminder that every child deserves safety, dignity, and the chance to thrive.
At CACerie, we stand with PennCAC and the global movement to uphold the rights of children everywhere. Every day we see too many childhoods cut short by abuse, violence, and poverty—but together, we can build communities where healing happens, and every child’s voice is heard. šŸ’™

šŸŒŽ November 20 is World Children’s Day

In 1989, world leaders made a historic promise to the world’s children:

They adopted the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, recognizing that every child, everywhere, has rights that must be protected. From safety and survival to education, play, and the right to be heard.

It became the most widely ratified human rights treaty in history and it has helped transform millions of childhoods.

But too many children are still being left behind.
Too many childhoods are still being cut short by violence, poverty, abuse, and conflict.

At PennCAC, we work every day to uphold these rights by supporting Pennsylvania’s network of Children’s Advocacy Centers, places where healing happens, and where every child is treated with dignity and compassion.

🧭 Our role? To help build a world where every child can grow, thrive, and be safe.

šŸ November Brings Reflection, Gratitude, and Hope šŸ
As the leaves fall and the air turns crisp, November invites us to pause. It’s a season of reflection—looking back at what we’ve accomplished together and looking ahead to the work still before us.

At the Children’s Advocacy Center of Erie County, our reflections always begin with the children and families we serve. Every step forward—whether through prevention programs, advocacy, or forensic services—has been possible because of the strength of our community and the partnerships that sustain us.

This month, as we honor Veterans Day, we hold special gratitude for military families. Their sacrifices extend beyond service, and their children deserve the same trauma-informed, child-centered care as every child in our community. We are proud to stand alongside our national partners in ensuring that military-connected families have access to the support they need and deserve.

As the holiday season approaches, we carry forward gratitude for all who make this mission possible—and hope for the brighter, safer future we are building together. šŸ’™

šŸ’™ Honoring Forensic Nurses Week šŸ’™
This week, we celebrate Forensic Nurses Week—a time to recognize the extraordinary dedication, courage, and compassion of forensic nurses.
Forensic nurses are often the first to meet children and families in moments of crisis. They provide specialized medical care, collect evidence with precision and sensitivity, and ensure that survivors are treated with dignity and respect. Their work bridges the gap between health care and justice.
At thešŸ’™šŸ’™šŸ’™šŸ’™ Children’s Advocacy Center of Erie County, forensic nurses are essential partners in our multidisciplinary team. Together, we create a child-centered response to abuse—one that prioritizes healing, safety, and hope while supporting the pursuit of justice.
To every forensic nurse: thank you for your skill, your strength, and your unwavering commitment to children and families. Your work changes lives. 🌟
