Next week on October 20th, Ms. Claire will be showing us how to make giant origami, how to paint with marbles to make big paintings, and how to work together to draw with a spider pen! October's first Book Talk Tuesday is one that is full of heart and joy, and also takes place partially right here in Colorado! Running with Sherman by Christopher McDougall is a memoir on running, but the focus is on his relationship with Sherman, a fiesty donkey who steals your heart right away, and how they come together to join the pack burro racing sport.

Fun fact, we wil be hosting a program on the history of pack burro racing right here at ECL on Thursday October 29th! This is a great chance to learn about Colorado's Summer Heritage Sport (and to meet a racing donkey, weather permitting). Bones and tusks and learning, oh my!

Please come join us on Monday October 12th from 5-6:30pm as Presenter Cameron Randolph explains the the Lamb Spring Archaeological Preserve's vast history, and the facts behind the Columbian Mammoth bones found there.
