Coincidentally my snarky granny embroidery project coincided with Blucifer’s 18th birthday. Not intentional at all, so Blucifer must have been sending me vibes or something. Not sure yet if I’ll frame it or sew it onto a tote or something wearable. I might have to make another one to appease my self critic to fix some mistakes I made in the process. Embroidery is my jam!

As a graphic designer that creates mostly on the computer 8+ hours a day it has always been cathartic, therapeutic and regenerative to make analog art with my hands to keep my mind fresh for creative ideas. If you work on the computer all day I highly recommend experimenting with different medium, off screen, creating/building/making things. Don’t worry about if it will be good, just experiment. You will thank me later 😃 Here is a small selection of things I made in the past year.

I’m excited to be leading a makerspace (CO-Create Erie Makerspace) that will be opening in Erie this year where I will get to hang out and collaborate with other makers and teach the skills I have to other members.

Also, follow the makerspace if you want to see the progress and attend our garden tour this Summer, June 28th.

CO-Create Erie is thrilled to invite you to our upcoming creative workshop to learn cross stitch and create a pendant that you can add to your keychain, backpack, lanyard, and more at Erie Social Club. You will receive a wood canvas, needle and a variety of thread colors. We will have designs you can choose from or will teach you how to design your own. All skill levels and genders are welcome.

If you already know how to sew, come have a social hour to work on a fun project and meet other creative-minded people—all while supporting our nonprofit makerspace.

All food and beverage purchases will be the responsibility of each attendee.

Your presence would mean the world to us as we come together to create something new and support CO-Create Erie. As a valued member of our community, your involvement is crucial to the success of our mission of bringing our maker and creative communities together to learn, grow and inspire.
