Fresh. Local. Impactful. 🌱
We’re excited to announce a new partnership with Grow Erie that’s bringing locally grown produce directly to families across our community.
Through this collaboration, a variety of fresh lettuce which is grown locally will be distributed through our mobile distributions and Marketplace. The lettuce is grown using advanced hydroponic methods and can be grown year round.
This isn’t just about providing food. It’s about strengthening our local food system, supporting urban agriculture, and creating jobs right here in our community. Every head of lettuce grown supports local workers, builds our economy, and provides fresh produce to our community.
From greenhouse to table, this partnership is helping build a healthier, more connected community.
And this is just the beginning. đź’š

🌱🍎 It takes a village to grow something meaningful.
Earlier this week, our volunteers and team were out in the Jim Renshaw Orchard getting everything ready for the growing season...and we had some incredible help doing it!
Our friends from the The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation joined us once again, not only lending a hand but also donating additional trees for our orchard and for several of our community partners.
More trees = more fresh fruit for our communityđź’š
This is what community looks like in action. Stay tuned… we can’t wait to share what grows next. 🌳✨

More Pennsylvania families are turning to food banks as the cost of food, rent, and utilities continues to rise. Parents working full time. Seniors living on fixed incomes. Families are doing everything they can, but they’re still falling short at the grocery store.
Food banks are stepping up, but we cannot do it alone. State programs like the State Food Purchase Program (SFPP) and the Pennsylvania Agricultural Surplus System (PASS) help food banks provide fresh, nutritious food while supporting Pennsylvania farmers and local economies.
Please take a moment to message your legislators and support food security in Pennsylvania:

Not everything makes it off the field—but it still has value 🌱
Through gleaning, local farmers can help ensure that surplus crops don’t go to waste and instead reach neighbors who can use them.
If you’re a grower with extra produce, we’d love to work with you. Together, we can keep good food in our community and get it where it’s needed most.
