Books are just one of the ways that stress can be alleviated, and having books to read is proven to better mental health. Seeing how impactful books are, the Cozy Corner and its members planned a two week book drive!

Over the weekend, our Cozy Corner Club co-Presidents Theofania Nacopoulos and Abigail Pribyshchuk donated the proceeds from the Cozy Corner’s book drive to the Mercy Center for Women! Over two weeks, they collected 300 books! We are so thankful to everyone who donated, especially the Cozy Corner members for helping with donations and promotion, and our advisors (Mrs. Lumley and Ms. Palotas) who made this book drive possible.

Incoming ninth-grade band, orchestra and chorus students are invited to attend a music placement audition on Saturday, May 2, 9:00-11:30 am. This placement is only needed for the courses listed on this flyer. Instrumentalists and vocalists can sign up for a time using the provided links. NPCA students participate in HOSA competitions

HOSA-Future Health Professionals aims to educate students about and promote careers in the health sciences.

There were 2,400 students from all over the state of Pennsylvania competing in health career written tests we well as speaking, writing and other performances.

World Culture Club Welcomes Fulbright Scholar Asma Zeydi!
Recently, the World Culture Club had the wonderful opportunity to host Fulbright Teaching Assistant Asma Zeydi from Mercyhurst University, originally from Tunisia.

Asma shared an engaging presentation about the Arabic language and culture, the history of the Carthaginian Empire, and the rich historical legacy of Tunisia. She also introduced students to aspects of modern Tunisian culture, as well as traditions surrounding Ramadan and Islam.

One of the highlights of the visit was when Asma created beautiful henna (mehndi) designs for club members. Students truly cherished this hands-on cultural experience and loved learning about the artistic traditions behind henna.

It was an inspiring visit that helped our school community deepen its global understanding and appreciation of Tunisian culture.

Thank you, Asma, for sharing your knowledge, culture, and artistry with us!
