The Next Chapter...
A message from Brian Johansson, CEO of the Erie City Mission:
"Through prayer and planning the Missions board of directors and leadership have taken a significant step toward the shared vision of a home for women and children in crisis. We are all very excited about the possibility of serving those in need at the new HAVEN for women and children."
Check out what that vision looks like: https://youtu.be/N9LZQ48hJn8
To learn more about where we are in the process check out the GoErie.com | Erie Times-News article in the comments.
Thank you all for your abundant support as we continue to work towards this vision. 💙

Something new is here from the Erie City Mission. 🎙️✨
We are so excited to introduce Beyond the Mission's Doors—a podcast hosted by our very own CEO Brian Johansson, in partnership with Money Radio WP$E. Every episode we sit down with the real people behind the Mission—staff, residents, community partners, and more—for honest conversations about the work happening right here in Erie.
Our first episode is live now. We're sitting down with Jodie Krumpe, Director of Women's Ministries, to talk about the growing crisis facing women and children in our community—and the vision for a place where hope and healing begin.
Every listen, every share, every conversation helps us go further. Thank you for being part of this mission with us. 💙

We are completely overwhelmed with gratitude.💙
A few weeks ago, we put out an urgent call—and Erie answered. Within 24 hours, donations started pouring in, and the generosity hasn't stopped since. This photo only scratch the surface of what you all showed up with.
A special thank you to Tyler and the JET/FOX/YourErie team for helping spread the word and amplifying our reach. This community never ceases to amaze us. Thank you, thank you, thank you. 🙏

We were so touched to see this post from Blind Tiger Spirit-Free Cocktails!
A huge thank you to Rebecca for donating beverages for Broadway by the Bay and for your generous heart toward the Erie City Mission. It means the world to have local business owners who give back in whatever way they can—and we love that Ivan and Jackie made it even more memorable! 🙏

☀️ Help us spread a little extra kindness at our 3rd Annual Perry Square Picnic! 💙
On Wednesday, June 10, will once again gather with our neighbors at Perry Square for a free community picnic open to anyone in need—and we’d love your help.
We are collecting $10 Country Fair gift cards to hand out during the event. These small gifts can make a big difference, giving individuals and families access to a meal, a drink, or everyday essentials when they need them most.
Unable to pick up a gift card? You can still support the picnic with an online donation! Every dollar helps provide food, supplies, and meaningful support for our neighbors.

Yesterday at the Mission we were joined by two volunteer groups including interns from Erie Insurance and employees of Rehrig Pacific Company.
Their efforts while here were appreciated by all.
Thank you to our volunteers who help the Mission in many extraordinary ways. 💙

Broadway by the Bay 2026✨
The second annual Broadway by the Bay was a smashing success. From the first-ever Community Arts Luncheon—featuring live performances from members of Corella Productions—to VIP dinners and Q&As with Ivan Rutherford and Jackie Burns, the day built to an unforgettable evening performance where Ivan and Jackie brought some of Broadway's biggest hits to life alongside special guests from Cathedral Preparatory School and Corella Productions Children's Theatre Academy.
This event was created to raise both awareness and funding for the Mission's vision of a facility serving women and mothers with children in Erie who are facing homelessness, addiction, poverty, trafficking and other crises. One hundred percent of proceeds go directly to supporting the Mission's current work with women, with the long-term goal of sustaining the new facility once it opens. Because of your support, we were able to raise over $290,000 at this year's event which is only $10,000 away from our $300,000 goal!
We believe that with your help we will be able to meet that goal. Please continue to pray and reflect on this initiative and if you feel called to give visit the link below.🤍
