We're proud to be part of programs like First Responders 101 that help students explore careers in emergency services and gain a deeper understanding of the people who serve our communities every day.

Thank you to Urban University for the opportunity to share the world of EMS with these future leaders. We loved the thoughtful questions, enthusiasm, and hands-on participation. We can't wait to see what the rest of the course has in store!

September was another busy month for EmergyCare! 🚑

In September 2026, our crews responded to 3,329 emergency calls and provided 2,214 patient transports across the communities we serve. Our average Priority 1 response time was 6 minutes, 13 seconds in Erie County and 10 minutes, 52 seconds regionally.

The most common medical responses were:
🔹 Sick Person – 570
🔹 Fall Victim – 427
🔹 Breathing Problem – 278

Our teams also responded to 114 traffic accidents, delivering the emergency care our communities depend on 24/7.

Every day, blood donors help save the lives of trauma patients, cancer patients, surgical patients, and others facing medical emergencies. As a community, we have the power to make a difference together.

Join us on Monday, October 26, from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM in the EmergyCare Education Room and help ensure blood is available when local patients need it most.

🎃 As part of Community Blood Bank's "Starve a Vampire, Give Blood" campaign, all donors in October will receive a special "Drink Responsibly" donor T-shirt while supplies last.

After a difficult call last Friday, our team was reminded that support comes in many forms...including four-legged ones. 🐾💙

A heartfelt thank you to Lazarus the K-9 Comfort Dog and Damascus the K-9 Comfort Dog from St. Paul Lutheran Church in Napoleon, Ohio, for visiting our crews, call center staff, and administrative team. Their presence provided comfort, encouragement, and a much-needed opportunity to pause and connect during a challenging week.

The work of EMS can be difficult, and we are grateful for community partners who recognize the importance of caring for the people behind the uniforms. Thank you to the handlers, volunteers, and these amazing dogs for sharing your time, compassion, and support with the EmergyCare family.

October is First Responders Month ❤️🚑🚒🚓

Every day, first responders answer the call when our communities need help most. From EMTs, paramedics, and dispatchers to firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency management personnel, and so many others, these dedicated professionals serve with courage, compassion, and commitment.

This year, First Responders Month carries special meaning for our Erie community. The tragic events of Friday evening served as a sobering reminder of the challenges first responders face and the critical role they play during our community's most difficult moments.

October 28 marks National First Responders Day, a time to recognize the men and women who step forward in moments of crisis and to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others.

At EmergyCare, we're proud to work alongside first responders across northwestern Pennsylvania who make a difference every day. This month, and every month, we thank them for their service, resilience, professionalism, and dedication to keeping our communities safe.

Please join us in keeping those affected by Friday's tragedy in your thoughts and in thanking the first responders who answered the call when our community needed them most.

Exactly one week ago, teams were racing across Erie, solving clues, tackling challenges, and making unforgettable memories at the 2026 EmergyRace. And what a day it was!

As we reflect on an incredible event, we are filled with gratitude for the many people who made it possible.

Thank you to our dedicated planning committee, whose months of hard work, creativity, and commitment brought this event to life. Thank you to our day-of volunteers who kept everything running smoothly and enthusiastically welcomed participants at every stop along the way.
