The Residence at Presque Isle Bay

What an incredible experience we were able to have today! 🤗

The Big Boy Steam Locomotive No. 4014 was passing through our area this morning, so we decided to go see it! The crowds were huge, and while we were waiting we read a little bit about The Big Boy's history.

🚂 Did you know it is the world's largest and most powerful operating steam locomotive? It was built in 1941, retired in 1961, and refurbished between 2013 and 2019 to operating condition!

We kicked off our Cruising Through Summer Series with Cruise Bingo! ⛴️

The prizes were sunglasses of course, so we can be ready to soak up all the sun! ☀️🕶

🏒🥅 Goal! Our residents had a blast putting their skills to the test during a fun game of floor hockey today! Activities like this encourage movement, coordination, friendly competition, and plenty of laughter along the way. We love finding creative ways to keep our residents active, engaged, and having fun together!

We spent the afternoon making beautiful bookmarks with dried, pressed flowers! 🌼
