Who becomes Fire Police?
That's a great question, the answer may suprise you.The common misconception is that they have to be old Firefighters who can't fight fire anymore but that's not the case at all,
anyone over 18 years of age can become a Fire Police member at Fairfield Hose Company.

Currently Fairfield Hose Company is seeking individuals to be Fire Police. If you've been looking for a way to help your community and your local volunteer fire department but band-aids and burning buildings don't interest you perhaps Fire Police is what your looking for.

Fire Police are a very important part of the fire department. They are the first line of defense for the Firefighters and the public at an emergency scene. They are responsible for directing and controlling both vehicle and pedestrian traffic at and near all emergency scenes.

Training required is basic Fire Police, CPR / AED, Emergency vehicle operations course / EMSVO and EMR or EMT is encouraged. Fire Police can also be trained to drive the Ambulance and the other equipment with some additional training. Training and equipment provided.

If your interested in a fulfilling way to help your community this may be it. Stop at the station any Wednesday night between 6:30 and 10:00 pm to talk with the Chief or Fire Police Captain and fill out an application.

Unfortunate…

An Important Update from Hose Company 27

Unfortunately, a situation that has impacted many organizations across Pennsylvania has now hit close to home for Hose Company 27.

After extensive discussions and planning with our vendor, the difficult decision has been made to remove the Skill Games machines from the Hose Company 27 Social Club, effective tomorrow morning.

This change is being made in response to upcoming regulatory changes affecting these machines in Pennsylvania.

We want our members and community to understand that the loss of these machines represents the loss of a significant source of revenue for the Social Club. The revenue generated through the club plays an important role in supporting its operations and, in turn, the mission of the Fairfield Hose Company Volunteer Fire Department.

This is certainly not the outcome we had hoped for, and we know many of our members will be disappointed by the change as well.

As we work to determine what may replace these machines and explore new opportunities to help offset the lost revenue, we ask for your patience and, most importantly, your continued support.

Hose Company 27 has always been more than just a social club. It is a place where our members and community come together, and your support helps us continue supporting the volunteers who answer the call when our community needs them most.

We appreciate everyone who continues to support Hose Company 27 and the Fairfield Hose Company Volunteer Fire Department as we adjust to this new reality.

Honored to be able to give back to our brothers and sisters from A.F. Dobler Hose & Ladder Co.

🚒 From One Firehouse Family to Another 🖤

This evening, Fuller Hose Company #1 sent Engine 202 to Girard to provide standby coverage and handle any calls for service, allowing their firefighters to focus solely on attending the viewing for Junior Firefighter Bryce Kaufmann.

Firefighters take great pride in being there when their community calls. From our own past experience, we also know that during moments like these, having another department covering your community can provide one small piece of mind during an incredibly difficult evening.

Tonight, Girard’s firefighters needed to be together. We were honored to help make that possible.

Our thoughts remain with Bryce’s family, friends, classmates, and the entire A.F. Dobler Hose & Ladder Co. family.
