Since joining the Town of Erie in 2024, Ronja has gone above and beyond to expand adaptive recreation, create inclusive experiences, and help people of all abilities discover the joy of recreation.

⛳ Disc Golf Course Notice: Temporary Hole Closures
Heads up, disc golfers! The course will have temporary closures this Friday, Oct. 23, for scheduled maintenance.

The following holes will be closed and coned off from 6:30 a.m.- 6 p.m.: 4, 5, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17.

For your safety and the safety of our contractors, please stay clear of closed areas and do not enter coned-off holes.

We’ll remove the closures earlier if maintenance is completed ahead of schedule. Thanks for your patience and understanding!

Heading downtown for Boo! on Briggs, presented by Dawson School, this Saturday?

Here’s what you need to know before you go:
🚧Road closures begin at 12:45 p.m. on Briggs St. between Moffat & Cheesman St. and Pierce & Wells St.

🚗🅿Street parking is available throughout Downtown Erie and at Coal Creek Park (575 Kattell St.). Overflow parking is available at Town Hall (645 Holbrook St.) and Reliance Park (900 WCR 1.5). If parking along the street, please be a good neighbor and avoid blocking driveways, stop signs, cross walks, etc.

🚲Biking is also an option! Take advantage of the bike corral, located at the corner of Pierce & Wells St.

📫USPS Access: Still Open! Access via the alleyway off of Moffat St., directional signage and parking staff will be on-site to assist.

Work Begins Today on the Linear Park Open Space Irrigation Mainline 💦🌳
The Parks & Open Space Division is kicking off construction on a new irrigation mainline in Linear Park to support long‑term tree health and future planting efforts. This project will install a trench alongside the trail to house the irrigation mainline and valves needed for next year’s tree planting.

⛏What to Expect:
• No trail or amenity closures
• Work will take place along the trail corridor
• Tree planting will occur next year by in‑house staff

🗓Construction Timeline: Today, Oct. 21 – Nov. 31
📍Linear Open Space - trail is south of Wells St. and adjacent to High and Carr St.

This project is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the Linear Park corridor and expand the Town’s tree canopy for years to come.

🐾Great news, our fence staining portion of the project wrapped up early. Both the large dog and training/temporary small dog area of the dog park are NOW OPEN!🐾

The small dog area and a north central portion of the parking lot will remain closed through Wednesday, Nov. 4 (weather pending) for additional redesign work. During this time, temporary access for a shared small dog/training area will be on the east perimeter of the dog park (near the ballfield).

🐾🚨The full closure portion of the Phase 2 Dog Park Redesign Project begins today, Oct. 19, at the Boneyard at Reliance Park (900 WCR 1.5). 🐾🚨

The entire dog park is CLOSED Monday, Oct. 19 through Wednesday, Oct. 21 (weather pending) for fence staining. There is no public access to the park during this time.
