What a beautiful spring day for our 2026 Middle School Envirothon event! Over 70 students participated, challenging their knowledge in Forestry, Wildlife, Aquatics, Soils/Land Use, and presenting on a current topic, Hidden Creeks. While they were challenging what they have already learned, students had an opportunity to talk with environmental experts in their field, learning more about careers in various environmental science areas.
Congratulation to St. Gregory School's 1st and 2nd place teams, and Wattsburg Area Middle School for earning 3rd place overall!

Congratulations to our 2026 High School Envirothon winners, the Tree Huggers from General McLane High School! They will be heading to the state competition on May 21st - best of luck to you!
2nd place - North East High School - Team Terrapene
3rd place - North East High School - Pink Flash
The teams have worked incredibly hard all year mastering knowledge in Forestry, Wildlife, Aquatics, Soils/Land Use, and the 2026 Current Issue - "Non-point source pollution - it begins at home!" It was great to see the students rise to the challenge and we are already looking forward to 2027!π³ππ¦π
