We have the best PTO around!

Our Kindness Club made sun catchers for a local nursing home. Thanks to our amazing teacher sponsors, Mrs. Fox and Mrs. Jenkins, and numerous parent volunteers, they were able to deliver them in person and bring joy to the residents.

It’s National Assistant Principal Week and how lucky are we that we have the best one around? Thank you for all you do, Ms. Neher!! Our Red Hawk family is forever grateful for you! ❤️

🌟🍎 Staff Highlight: Ms. Ladwig 🍎🌟

We are so excited to shine the spotlight on Ms. Ladwig, an incredible 5th Grade Teacher at Red Hawk Elementary! 💛📚

Ms. Ladwig has been part of the Red Hawk family since the very beginning—joining the team when the school opened in 2011! 🎉

Fun fact: before stepping into the classroom, she had a career as an architect 🏡✏️—but teaching was always her dream. Thanks to a post-baccalaureate program at UNC, she made the leap into education, and she hasn’t looked back since! She even earned her Master’s in Literacy from CU Denver in 2022 🎓📖—talk about dedication!

Originally from Illinois, Ms. Ladwig has called Colorado home since 1995 🏔️ and plans to continue inspiring students for years to come.

When she’s not teaching, you can find her:

Family is everything to Ms. Ladwig 💕—she’s a proud mom of two:
🎓 A daughter who recently graduated from the School of Mines and started her first job
📘 A son currently attending Adams State University

“Aiming for greatness is much better than aiming for perfection—it’s a lot less stressful!”
Ms. Ladwig loves working with 5th graders (after many years in 1st grade!) because of their growing sense of humor and the fun they bring to the classroom 😄🎉

🔨 Fun Fact: She’s currently renovating her house with help from her dad and sister—proof that she’s always ready to learn something new and take on a challenge!
