And that is officially the end of Agronomy competition day! Boy, oh boy, was it a full day! Students started competing at 9 AM and didn’t finish until 3:30 PM!
After a long day of competition, we had a celebratory dinner to end an incredible season! We were ALSO SURPRISED by a visit from Mr. Saephan, one of our former ag teachers, who is currently working on his PhD at THE Ohio State University!
It was an exciting day all around, and we are SO, SO proud of how these students represented the great Golden State of California, but even more importantly, our amazing Escalon community! 💛💜

Tomorrow is the awards ceremony at 9 AM EST! Tune in using the link in our bio to watch the awards ceremony livestream!

A HUGE thank you to Dr. Ge**er and his NACTA team for helping our students practice and prepare for their competition TOMORROW!
Our team got hands-on practice identifying seeds and plants before heading to the greenhouse to check out the plants used in their own practices. This was especially helpful since many of the Midwestern plants aren’t readily available back home!
Afterward, we made a stop at the National FFA Center for a quick tour before heading back to the hotel for one final presentation practice.

All that’s left is to get some rest and get ready to compete! We’re so proud of this crew and can’t wait to see them put their hard work to the test tomorrow! 💚
