Bear Valley Organics

A day at the farm turned up another peacock showing us his colors, the chickens, and my garden coming together. I'm trying to get fencing around and underground so the gophers don't get to the roots and the rabbits don't get to the leaves. Actually, the guys at the farm are putting together the garden for me. I started pulling the weeds and they're finishing for me and doing a better job than I ever would have. Oh, turkeys were out too but I didn't get pictures of them.

Gobble gobble. Is it Thanksgiving already?? Nope, just a group of turkeys playing on the farm.

More clean-up. SDG&E came out and took all the dead trees and all the trees that might interfere with power lines. The farm is looking clean!!

The doggies are back. They're trained but I'm not so the trainer is still working with us to make sure the dogs and humans are behaving appropriately.

Lots of going on at BVO.

A truck load of flowers going to market.

Chickens are enjoying some sunshine and apple cores. I think they like the sweet taste of apples. They're producing eggs a little more regularly. They're very cute and run to me when they see me.

The guys cleared a couple of trees to give these avos some much needed sun.

The chickens all run to me when I come see them. It’s very cute. The goats are eating our left over grasses but they’re being very picky.
