This week is National Telecommunications week, a week to recognize the very first line of response in any emergency.
In 2025, our EPD Dispatchers answered over 200,000 phone calls for service touching countless lives and providing critical support when it matters most, doing far more than the title suggests. Often times they’re known as the calm in the chaos, the steady voice on the other end of the line, the unseen link between crisis and response all while gathering critical information.
They answer every call, handle the wildest situations, and somehow keep everything - and everyone - in line… including us. 👮🏻♂️👮🏻♀️
Thank you for everything that you do - not just today but always. 📞💛
