Weโre proud to spotlight Kim Winiker, MD, one of our Hospice & Palliative Medicine Fellows for 2025โ2026.
Kim earned his MD from the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine and currently serves as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh.
Drawn to caring for patients facing serious illness, Kim believes meaningful care begins with understanding each personโs hopes, fears, and what matters most to them. His thoughtful approach to medicine reflects the compassion and connection at the heart of palliative care.
Outside of medicine, Kim enjoys skiing, yoga and meditation, ultimate Frisbee, and travel.
Weโre grateful to have him as part of The Elizabeth Hospice fellowship program.

Children process loss differently and often, they need safe and supportive ways to express emotions that are difficult to put into words.
This summer, The Elizabeth Hospice is offering a free six-week creative arts grief support group for children in the community who are experiencing the loss of a parent, sibling, or other significant person.
Through art, connection, and guided activities, children can explore feelings, build healthy coping skills, and find comfort alongside peers who understand.
๐จ Materials provided. No artistic experience needed.
