This past weekend RSS Escondido showed out for RS San Diego’s Annual Pool Function! A opportunity for all poolees & recruiters from recruiting stations throughout San Diego County to come together & build camaraderie. Poolees participated in a Initial Strength Assessment to see their physical abilities and status to depart for recruit training. They also competed to see who was the strongest and baddest RSS in squad competitions that concluded with the infamous tug of war 😤

Special shoutout to Poolee Perez for going full Gung Ho and leading the charge like an absolute machine 🔥—we see you, warrior!

We flexed, we fought, we almost fell over—and we loved every second.
Catch us next year, stronger, louder!

A Legacy in the Making! 🇺🇸🔥

Huge congratulations to Poolee Perez for taking the next steps toward earning the title of United States Marine! This moment is even more special because I had the honor of serving alongside his father—now, his son is following in his footsteps to uphold the same values of honor, courage, and commitment.

The journey won’t be easy, but nothing worth having ever is. Welcome to the brotherhood, Perez—your future is bright, and it’s time to show your old man who’s better!

The challenges you will face in recruit training are unlike any you have ever experienced before. It is not simply enough to endure; you must be able to prevail.
