8th Grade Promotion is on June 10 at 9:30 AM on the field @ Mission (gates will open @ 8:35 AM) ...

• All are welcome!
• There may not be enough seating for everyone so be prepared to stand
• No items that obstruct audience views are allowed
• Balloons may be tied to the fence if brought to the ceremony
• No air horns or other noise makers are allowed

• *Limited* parking will be available in the staff parking lot starting @ 8:30 AM
• No parking is allowed in the school driveway areas
• Guests shouldn’t arrive before 8:30 AM to prevent traffic delays for school drop-off

• All 8th graders need to arrive by 8:00 AM and attend Period 1 as usual (no Advisory)
• You won’t be able to hold onto backpacks, phones, or other items during the ceremony ... don’t bring extra items
• You will be walking out to the ceremony with your Period 2 teacher ... only exceptions will be the Presidential Award recipients who will be sitting in Row 1
• After the ceremony, promoting 8th Graders need to exit campus with their families

• 8th Graders who aren’t promoting will need to arrive on campus at 8:00 AM as usual, and they will be assigned a room to stay in during the school day
• Students who aren’t promoting will leave campus at the end of the school day along with the rest of the students at 11:54 AM

• School dress code still applies as this is a school event

Appropriate clothing includes:
• Button-up/collared shirt (ties are encouraged)
• Slacks or dress pants
• Blouses or dresses (no spaghetti straps)
• Dresses should be mid-thigh in length
• Jeans are allowed but not encouraged
• If you are planning to wear heels, please practice walking in them as you will be walking in the grass and up/down stairs

• Grade 6/7 students can’t attend the Promotion ceremony unless they are with a parent/guardian
• Grade 6/7 students have to be checked out of school in the Front Office in order to be released for the ceremony
• During passing periods students won’t be allowed to enter/exit the field
• Students won’t be allowed to use the blacktop near the locker room or the dirt area between the 300/400 buildings and the lunch tables

The 2025-2026 girls of Mission's Heart & Sole Running Team participated in their culminating 5K event to celebrate the end of the Spring Season last Sunday (May 17) at De Anza Cove in Mission Bay. Huge shoutout to all of our Team Coaches and Running Buddies for helping our girls complete the . Well done, Wildcats!

8th Grade Wildcats, if you're going to the Harbor Cruise on Friday (May 22), and you want to look *GOOD*, but you don't know how to tie a tie, we got you.

Drop in to the Counseling Office in Room 22 during Lunch B on Friday, and our amazing Counseling Team will teach you all of the steps to tie a tie so you can look like the smooth operator you were meant to be as you dance the night away on the Harbor Cruise!!!

Encourage members to join or renew
Keep updated member list
Run meetings if president is unavailable

Attending board and association meetings
Take notes at meetings
Write a summary of every meeting
Review expense reports and sign them
