A day to gather, remember and celebrate our loved ones who went before us. Enjoy face painting, crafts, door prizes, sugar skull decorating, & free books for children.

Right here in Estacada and Eagle Creek, 453 children receive a free book every month through Dolly Partonโ€™s Imagination Library. Behind every book is a community of people who believe in the power of givingโ€”our donors, volunteers, local partners and supporters who help make this program possible.
On September 25, Give Like Dolly Day, you can help the Friends of the Estacada Public Library reach even more children and families. Every gift helps us continue building a community where children can grow up surrounded by the joy of books and reading.

Thanks to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, we've been able to serve over 1,000 children in the Estacada and Eagle Creek area by enrolling them to receive a book in the mail each month until the age of 5 years old.

Libraries and young readers everywhere will always love you, Dolly. Thank you for gifting over 300 million children worldwide with free books, and the love of literacy and lifelong learning through your Imagination Library. The sparkle you left behind isn't from all the rhinestones and glitter you wore, but the spark of imagination, hope, and love.

Discussion: Sat. September 24 | 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

This two-part book club is focused on comparing adaptations of your favorite books and movies. On Friday we watch the movie and on Saturday we talk about how the two compare. You donโ€™t have to finish the book to join the discussion (but it helps)!
