In the aftermath of Hurricane Isaias, Alabama farmers are encouraged to work with their county Extension office to share time- and date-stamped pictures of agricultural damages. Documentation can be submitted online at www.aces.edu/go/Isaias by Friday, Oct. 16.

📍 Entry Drop-Off: Wednesday, November 4, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the ALFA Building
🚜 Can’t make the scheduled drop-off? Entries may also be dropped off at Barbour County - Alabama Extension.
🥜 From peanuts and cotton to corn, soybeans, pumpkins, pecans, and more, there are plenty of opportunities to showcase your harvest and compete for cash prizes!

Farmers, take time-stamped photos of crops, animals, and stuctures before the storm.

⛈️If you experience damage or losses from Hurricane Isaias, take the following steps to ensure proper documentation and assistance:

⛈️Before starting any cleanup, take time-stamped photos of all damage and losses.

⛈️Contact your Farm Service Agency (FSA) to report losses. This helps prepare a loss assessment report, which is crucial for designating an agricultural disaster area.

⛈️Report losses within 72 hours of discovery, and provide a signed written notice within 15 days. This must be done before cleanup starts to ensure proper documentation.

⛈️If you're enrolled in the Noninsured Crop Disaster Assistance Program (NAP) or other disaster programs, contact your local FSA office for a waiver before beginning any cleanup.
