Correct steps to dispose of batteries
🔋 Used batteries can spark fires when tossed in the trash or recycling.
In collection trucks and waste facilities, batteries have sparked dangerous fires that put people and property at risk.

Here are 3 easy steps to dispose of them safely:
1 Tape the ends. Cover battery terminals with clear, non-conductive tape.
2 Make a plan. Find a certified drop-off site or order a safe return box.
3 Turn them in. Drop them off locally or mail them using a return kit.

It’s simple and makes a big impact that helps keep you, your family, your home, and your community safe.
