Last night, the 2026 WORKing Together Conference kicked off with a reception hosted by Oregon Workforce Partnership at the Oregon National Guard - Oregon base in Salem. 🇺🇸

Lane Workforce Partnership staff and board members were joined by the Lane County team, including partners from Lane Community College, Lane Education Service District, PIVOT Architecture, and the Oregon Restaurant & Lodging Association.

A highlight of the evening was a showcase of Team Oregon Build and its partnership with Everyone Village. The program has grown to more than 110 schools across 28 counties, with thousands of students building and over 550 completed builds delivered to date. 🔨

Guests also enjoyed:
🍽️ Food prepared by ProStart students showing off their culinary and hospitality skills
🍷 Tastings from local Oregon wineries
🚁 Hands-on experiences with the Oregon National Guard, including helicopters and night vision goggles
🎟️ A special raffle provided by Citizens Bank and Travel Salem
🤝 Time to reconnect with colleagues and meet new partners from across Oregon

Thank you to Oregon Workforce Partnership and the Oregon National Guard for a memorable start to the conference. Lane County is proud to be part of building Oregon’s workforce, together.

☀️ A few weeks back, Veneta showed up and so did the sunshine! 🙌

Collaborative EDO hosted a fantastic evening for its Veneta PubTalk on Business Formation, set in the beautifully renovated Smitty’s in downtown Veneta. Entrepreneurs, business leaders, community partners, and neighbors came together to connect, learn, and share.

And that’s exactly what happened. 💡

🤝 Real connections were made.
💬 Honest conversations were had.
🧠 Knowledge and experience were shared.
🌱 And a few new ideas were sparked along the way.

A huge THANK YOU to the panelists and moderator who shared their time, expertise, and real-world perspectives, and to Shannon Baldwin of House of Ember & Huggenkiss Bakery, who took the stage to share her pitch (and her incredible chili crisp focaccia!). Be sure to catch her at the next Saturday Market.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who joined! Events like this work because people show up ready to meet someone new, ask questions, share what they know, and support the people building businesses in our communities.

Beautiful weather. A beautiful space. An evening full of great people.

Veneta, you were a pretty great place for a PubTalk. ❤️

Lane County Healthcare: From Conversation to Collaboration to Action 🏥

Yesterday, healthcare leaders and partners from across Lane County gathered at PeaceHealth's Annex for the latest Lane County Healthcare Sector Partnership convening, and the energy in the room was clear: this sector is ready to move.

Participants dug into the work happening across the partnership’s action committees:

🏥 Workforce: Exploring how local education and healthcare partners are building new pathways into behavioral health careers and expanding hands-on learning opportunities.

📣 Advocacy: Updates on Timber Springs, lessons from recent advocacy efforts, and early input on priorities heading into the 2027 legislative session.

🤝 Collaboration: Timely insights on OHP redetermination and its impact on healthcare teams, plus a look at emerging Communities of Practice to strengthen problem solving across the sector.

💡 Next Steps: Attendees helped identify industry workforce needs, shape advocacy priorities, and pinpoint where collaboration can make the biggest difference.

A huge thank you to the coalition behind the Lane County Healthcare Sector Partnership: Bushnell University, Lane County Medical Society, and Collaborative EDO. And thank you to every partner who showed up and shared their perspective. 🙌
