Relief Nursery will be closed Monday, October 12, 2026 in honor of Indigenous Peoples' Day.

Our organization carries the following promise:

“We hold space on the ancestral lands of the Kalapuya people. We honor and pay respect to the past, present and future stewards of this land and all Indigenous peoples who call Oregon home.”

Today and every day, we honor the Indigenous peoples who have cared for these lands across generations and recognize the importance of listening to and learning from their stories.

We're all thinking it... the cold weather is just around the corner and with the changing season, it becomes more important than ever for children to have warm coats to shield them from the frosty chill.

Coats for children ages 3 months to 8 years are especially needed.

If you are able to support, please consider dropping off a new or slightly used coat to a community donation site or a Relief Nursery location. Coats can be dropped off until November 9th.

Relief Nursery is entirely grateful for Apex Recycling & Disposal, , Lagree Plus, Unitarian Universalist Church in Eugene, and for hosting donation bins at their locations for our annual Winter Coat Drive.

*Lagree Plus is open 15 minutes prior to scheduled classes and coats can only be dropped off during that time. Please visit www.lagreeplus.com to see their daily schedule.

The honor belongs to Relief Nursery, which has had the privilege of providing 50 years of service, compassion, and commitment to Lane County. This milestone year was made even more special by the opportunity to open our doors and welcome the community into the Relief Nursery Robin Jaqua Child and Family Center for the Springfield Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours in September.

Our work is not possible without the generosity of those who walk alongside us to champion children and families each and every day. We were humbled to share a closer look at the many programs and services Relief Nursery provides to strengthen and protect families who have been impacted by trauma.

A huge thank you to our event sponsors, Chambers Construction and Trillium Community Health Plan, for helping bring this opportunity to life. We are deeply appreciative of the volunteers, staff, Chamber members, and community members who helped make the evening so special.

We can't wait to see what we achieve together in the next 50!

Five years, five Poker Runs, and so much heart behind every mile. ❤️

A huge thank-you to Ridans of Amun-Ra Motorcycle Club (R.O.A.R. M.C.) for once again bringing our community together for the annual Poker Run in support of Relief Nursery. We’re incredibly grateful for the time, energy, and generosity that R.O.A.R. M.C. pours into this event year after year.

R.O.A.R. M.C. understands the power of connection, peer support, and having a community that helps people move toward a more hopeful future. The Poker Run directly benefits Relief Nursery’s Accessing Success and Peer Support programs, helping parents build connection, find encouragement, and access the resources they need as they work toward a stronger future for themselves and their children.

We’re so grateful to everyone who rode, volunteered, donated, and helped make this year’s event such a success.

And a very special thank-you to this year’s generous sponsors:
Platinum Sponsor: Matt Vaught
Gold Sponsors: Lifetime Tattoos, The UPS Store Springfield & Junction City, Art of a Million, and F/V Bay Islander of Newport, OR
Silver Sponsor: Storylines Ink Parlor

Today is the last day of August, and there’s still time to help us reach our goal for the 50th Anniversary Challenge.

A generous donor will match every gift to Relief Nursery, dollar for dollar, up to $50,000—doubling the impact of your generosity.

To everyone who has given this month, and to those who have supported Relief Nursery over the years: thank you. You have helped create a community where children and families can find the connection, care, and opportunity they need to thrive.

Every gift matters. Every family matters. Thank you for helping us celebrate 50 years of Relief Nursery and for being part of what comes next. 💗

What if we could help heal the wound before it becomes a scar? 💗

For Terrence Killian, Relief Nursery’s Clinical Director of our Mental Health Program, early intervention rewrites stories and gives children and families the opportunity to heal before trauma becomes more deeply rooted.

After years of working with older children and adults experiencing the effects of trauma, Terrence found something deeply meaningful in Relief Nursery’s approach: the opportunity to reach children earlier and help change the trajectory.

At Relief Nursery, we look beyond the behavior. We understand that a child who is screaming, kicking, or struggling to connect may be communicating something they don’t yet have the words to express.

That’s why we surround families with both basic and specialized supports—from food, childcare, and home visits to mental health services, parent education, and peer support.

Because sometimes healing begins with something as simple as learning how to play together and feel safe.

Right now, a generous donor will match every gift up to $50,000 through our 50th Anniversary Challenge. Learn more about the challenge or make a gift: https://givebutter.com/untitled-campaign-cdm985
