🌿 Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day

Today, we recognize the Indigenous peoples who have lived on and cared for the land we now call Oregon since time immemorial.

Here in Lane County, we acknowledge the many Tribal nations and Indigenous communities whose histories, cultures, knowledge, and traditions continue to shape our region. Indigenous peoples are an important part of our community today, and their contributions continue to enrich the place we call home.

Indigenous Peoples’ Day is an opportunity to celebrate Indigenous cultures and communities, learn from their histories and experiences, and reflect on the importance of respecting and honoring Tribal sovereignty.

October is LGBTQIA2S+ History Month! 🏳️‍🌈

This month, we honor the people who have helped build stronger, healthier communities. We also remember the impact HIV has had on LGBTQIA2S+ people.

Today, we have more tools to prevent and treat HIV. Getting tested is one way we can care for ourselves and each other. Find HIV testing near you or learn about at-home testing at www.endhivoregon.org/testing and www.lanecounty.org/EndHIV

---
Octubre es el Mes de la Historia LGBTQIA2S+! 🏳️‍🌈

⚠️ Important updates are coming to Oregon Health Plan (OHP/Medicaid) coverage under federal rules established by House Resolution 1 (HR1). Here is what you need to know:

• Keep your info current: Update your contact details and respond to any renewal notices at Benefits.Oregon.gov. Coverage can still be applied for at any time via ONE.Oregon.gov.

• Work & activity rules start Jan. 1, 2027: Some adults ages 19–64 will need to report qualifying activities (work, school, volunteering) or qualify for an exemption.

• Renewal timelines are shifting: Beginning late 2027, some adults ages 19–64 will transition to 6-month renewals, while others will remain on an annual schedule.

• Exemptions apply: Many members (including caregivers, pregnant individuals, people with certain disabilities, and those in substance use treatment) may be exempt from new activity requirements. Swipe through the images for full details on timelines and exemption categories.
