⚠️ Phone Scam Alert

The Eunice Police Department has been made aware of residents receiving suspected scam phone calls today.

We want to remind everyone to be cautious when answering calls from unfamiliar numbers. Scammers may pretend to represent law enforcement, financial institutions, or other legitimate organizations in an attempt to obtain money or personal information.

Never give out personal or banking information over the phone, and don't send money to someone you don't know. Scammers often use threats or a sense of urgency to pressure people into acting quickly.

If something doesn't sound right, hang up and contact the organization directly using a verified phone number.

Please share this information with friends and family, especially those who may be more vulnerable to these types of scams.

Stay safe, Eunice!

As the colder weather moves in, please take a moment to check on elderly family members and neighbors to make sure they're staying warm.

And don't forget about your pets! Bring them inside if possible, or make sure they have a warm, dry place to get out of the cold.

A little extra care goes a long way.
