BOO-REKA COUNTY | The Eureka Hotel has watched over Main Street since 1873. Builders cut its walls from local volcanic stone, and over the years it has been a general store, the Zadow Hotel, the Eureka Hotel, and the Eureka Cafe starting around 1942.

The kitchen has gone quiet, but the stories haven't. Paranormal investigators have recorded unexplained voices inside, and locals say a cowboy hat has sat down at the bar on its own more than once.

NOTE NEW DATE: Enjoy one very spooky weekend in two of Eureka's oldest buildings.

Friday, October 23: The Sentinel Museum goes haunted from 6 to 8 PM! Every room is decked out, the lights are low, and the old presses have been quiet for a long, long time. All ages welcome.

Saturday, October 24: Our last Halloween movie night of the season hits the Eureka Theater at the Opera House, showing Casper (PG) at 6 PM, then Jeepers Creepers (R) at 8 PM.

Entry is a $5 suggested donation, the snack bar opens at 5:30 PM, and pillows and blankets are welcome.

Eureka Community Church’s youth group has a new meeting time! Students in sixth grade and up are invited to gather on the first and third Sundays of each month from 4 to 7 PM for games, worship, food, life lessons and activities.
