🌊Grace Marton Memorial Park is officially opening on Friday, October 30th at 4PM. Join us for a ribbon cutting, complimentary food and beverages, and fun activities!🌊

This brand-new park was made possible by Grace Marton and Lance Hardie who left money in their will for the establishment of a new park. These two community members shared many lunches together and enjoyed the view in the same spot where this beautiful park now sits. We invite the community to come play in this new space featuring a children's playground, picnic areas, gardens, and game area featuring a permanent co****le court and chess & checkers table.

Special thanks to our amazing partners:
💙Grace Marton and Lance Hardie
💙California State Parks and National Parks Land and Water Conservation Program
💙Humboldt Area Foundation

🌲🌲The City of Eureka is applying for grant funding to upgrade Cooper Gulch Park. Over the years, the City has received lots of feedback about this park. This has resulted in many grant applications being submitted but were not awarded due to the highly competitive nature of park funding programs. Another opportunity is available through the CA State Parks: Statewide Park Program funded by Prop 4. 🌲🌲

Join the City of Eureka as we reevaluate the 2021 concept that the community rallied behind, consider new priorities, and help us prepare to submit the proposal by December 17, 2026. Your voice will directly impact the future of this park.
