Multi-Department Auto Extrication Training ๐
Tonight, members of Pamelia Fire Department, Evans Mills Fire Department , and Evans Mills Volunteer Ambulance Squad came together for auto extrication training. Working alongside one another to sharpen their skills and strengthen the teamwork needed to respond to motor vehicle accidents.
Auto extrication is a critical part of the emergency response. When someone is trapped inside a vehicle following a collision, every second matters. Training with the various tools and equipment used to remove patients safely is essential for our firefighters. From hydraulic rescue tools to the techniques used to stabilize and dismantle a vehicle, understanding how and when to use each tool can make a tremendous difference when seconds count.
๐ Vehicles are constantly changing, and so is the way we respond to them. Newer vehicles are built with advanced safety features, high-strength materials, electric components, and different structural designs. These changes present new challenges for emergency responders and make ongoing training more important than ever.
By training together, our departments can improve communication, coordination, and efficiency on the scene, ensuring we are better prepared to work as one team when our communities need us most.
A huge thank-you to everyone who took the time out of their evening to participate, learn, and continue building the skills necessary to serve our communities. The work put in during training helps prepare us for the moments when someone is counting on us to make a difference
Training opportunities like this are made possible by our always supportive local businesses. Tonight, VanTassel Towing & Recovery LLC once again stepped up and made sure we had cars to complete this training. So we would like to send a huge thank you to them.
