๐Ÿš”๐Ÿพ Our CSTs have a new rideโ€”and itโ€™s ready to help some four-legged members of our community, too! ๐Ÿถ

Weโ€™re excited to introduce our new Community Service Technician (CST) truck, complete with kennels in the back to help safely transport animals while responding to calls throughout Evans!

But our CSTs do so much more than help our furry friends! From reuniting lost pets with their owners and assisting with animal-related calls to supporting patrol officers and helping resolve community concerns, our CSTs play an important role in keeping Evans safe and providing excellent service to our residents.

Although they may not always be in the spotlight, our CSTs are an essential part of the Evans Police Department team, helping connect residents with resources, resolve concerns, and provide services that keep our community moving forward. ๐Ÿ’™

Help us give a shoutout to our two CSTs pictured here and thank them for all they do for our communityโ€”two-legged and four-legged alike! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿ’œ Domestic Violence Awareness Month ๐Ÿ’œ

October is a busy month for awareness, with many important causes weโ€™re proud to recognize and share with our community. Alongside the other awareness efforts this month, October is also Domestic Violence Awareness Monthโ€”a time to recognize survivors, remember those who have been lost, and remind our community that help is available.

At Evans Police Department, we are fortunate to partner with the Greeley Police Department Victim Services Unit, whose advocates provide compassionate, victim-centered support to individuals and families impacted by crime, including domestic violence.

The Victim Services Unit serves Evans and surrounding communities through a partnership with multiple local law enforcement agencies. Their highly trained advocates provide on-scene crisis response, advocacy, resources, referrals, and follow-up services to help victims navigate what can be an overwhelming and difficult time.

With the opening of our new police department, we are also proud to now have dedicated space where Victim Services advocates can work and meet with community members here in Evans. The advocates rotate through the agencies they serve, allowing them to be more accessible to the communities and victims who need them.

๐Ÿ’œ If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, you are not alone. Reaching out for help is a sign of strength, and support is available.

Thank you to the advocates who show up every day with compassion, patience, and a commitment to helping people through some of their hardest moments. We are grateful to have you as part of our law enforcement family and our community. ๐Ÿ’œ
