Join us at EPL, in honor of Veterans Day, for a screening of Harvey Moshman's documentary film, Heroes on Deck: World War II on Lake Michigan, followed by a live Q&A session.

Heroes on Deck tells the story of a little-known US Navy program that, in response to the attack on Pearl Harbor, recruited and trained 15,000 aircraft carrier pilots on Lake Michigan, just off Chicago's shores.

Many voters skip voting for judges because they don't know anything about the candidates or think their vote for a judge doesn't matter. But every vote counts, and Cook County voters need to know the qualifications of judicial candidates. In this program, the chair of the Chicago Bar Association's Judicial Evaluation Committee will share with Cook County voters why their vote for a judge matters, and how trusted resources such as the CBA’s judicial evaluations can help them make thoughtful, informed choices.
