The Evanston Police Department (EPD) is actively hiring entry-level and lateral police officers, with entry-level salaries starting around $63,930.00 and lateral positions will be negotaible in wage based on experience. Applications are accepted until positions are filled, requiring applicants to be U.S. citizens, at least 21 years old, and possess a high school diploma.
Hiring Requirements and Process
• Qualifications: Valid driver’s license, ability to pass a background investigation, physical agility test, and psychological evaluation.
• Testing: Applicants must score 70% or higher on the National Police Officer Selection Test.
• Training: The department covers training costs, including the 13-week academy for new recruits.
• Health, Dental, and Vision benefits
• Wyoming Retirement paid (20 and out)
• 4 10’s work schedule
• Shift differential pay
• 11 paid Holidays
• 96 hours of vacation per year
• Take home vehicle
• All equipment provided
• Bilingual abilities are considered a plus.
• The department offers a supportive environment with opportunities for professional development and specialized assignments.

🇺🇸 Remembering September 11, 2001 — We Will Never Forget 🇺🇸

Twenty-five years later, the memories remain. We remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice.

We honor the police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and countless first responders who ran toward danger when others were running away. Their courage, selflessness, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Some dates become part of history.
September 11th became part of our hearts.

We appreciate everyone who has participated in our TIPS Training classes in the past and thank you for your continued support of the Police Department and the Community.

We will have 2 more classes before we are done.
