OverDrive recently rolled out AI Content Controls in Libby. This gives you control over what you see as available to check out based on your preferences. You can set your preferences for discovering titles with AI contributions via a new Content Controls menu.
This menu will present AI contribution choices in four different categories: text, audio, graphics, and translation.

AI Content Controls apply to all titles in Libby, whether you are browsing or searching. For example, if you disallow AI audio in Libby, all AI narrators will be filtered out of search results and library lists.

Libby and libraries rely on publishers to self-report when AI is being used in works, but if you suspect a publication used AI in some way, you will now be able to report it via the Libby app.

to the Phantom Theatre! 👻

The Phantom Theatre, entirely operated by volunteers, functioned as a fundraiser for the Evansville State Hospital. Its location was in the former men's dormitory of the hospital. The money raised was used to support patients in various ways. For example, in 1978, the funds helped renovate the hospital's entertainment center. In other years, proceeds were used to fund pizza parties and provide clothing for the patients.

The haunted house was extremely popular, planning for 15,000 visitors in 1978. By the end of its run, Phantom Theater was generating $60,000 in revenue before expenses. Early productions blended contemporary scares, like Coneheads in an electric chair, with tributes to classic horror figures such as the Bride of Frankenstein.
