Big News! The details of our annual Chili and Soup Supper are set. PLEASE SHARE THIS POST! Big thank you to 's Repair & Gun Safes for assisting us with the USA30 250 Years of Liberty Special Edition Liberty Safe valued at $1,969 to be raffled at the dinner. Please join us November 21st, 2026 from 5pm to 8pm @ the new Everest Fire Station 621 N. 7th St. in Everest. Silent auction items will be available and great home-made chili, soups, and desserts.

Each meal purchased will go towards one chance to win the safe!

Additional chances to win the safe will be $10 each with no limit!

Firefighters will deliver the safe to the winner within 50 miles of Everest and place the safe in a location of the winner's choice within reasonable means.

Need not be present to win.

If you would like to donate a silent auction item, please contact us on Facebook or contact a firefighter directly.

🎃 Everest Trunk or Treat – October 31st, 4–6 PM 🎃

Get ready for a fun and festive Halloween afternoon! 👻

On Saturday, October 31st from 4:00–6:00 PM, families are invited to Downtown Everest for a safe, family-friendly Trunk or Treat celebration!

Kids can dress up in their favorite costumes, collect candy, and enjoy an afternoon filled with Halloween fun and community spirit! 🍬🎃

During Trunk or Treat, local businesses, community groups, and organizations will decorate their car trunks in creative, spooky, or silly themes and hand out candy and goodies to trick-or-treaters. It’s a wonderful way to bring our community together and give our kids a memorable Halloween experience!

🎃 Calling All Businesses & Organizations!
We welcome any business, group, or organization that would like to participate! This is a great opportunity to connect with the community, show off your creativity, and spread some Halloween cheer.

Grant's Repair & Gun Safes As promised, our annual Chili and Soup Supper is back. Save the date: November 21st, 2026 at the new fire station, 621 N. 7th St. in Everest. The big news, thanks to generous assistance from Grant's Repair of Wathena, we have acquired the pictured safe. The safe will have a new owner the evening of the dinner. The safe is a USA30 by Liberty Safes. It has a 60 minute fire rating at 1200 degrees F. and commemorates 250 years of the United States. Stay tuned for dinner details and how this safe could be yours! As always, please support businesses that support volunteer fire departments.

Engine 9 and Tanker 711 responded to a report of multiple vehicles on fire in the Everest area. The vehicles were a total loss, but no damage to surrounding structures. Thanks goes to ACRFD #5 (Lancaster/Huron) for the assist.
