October is also Domestic Violence Awareness Month in Snohomish County.

Domestic violence is pervasive and life-threatening, regardless of ethnicity, age, economic status, religion, ability, education level, and class – and can occur in any family structure. It is a serious and widespread crime, impacting millions of community members throughout the United States every year.

We recognize October 2026 as Domestic Violence Awareness Month in Snohomish County and call upon Snohomish County residents to recognize domestic violence as a serious health and public safety concern, compassionately assist survivors of these crimes in finding the help they need, and hold abusers accountable for their actions.

October is Disability Employment Awareness Month in Snohomish County!

"Celebrating Value and Talent” is the theme of this year’s National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), carrying the spirit of last year’s celebration forward through 2026 in honor of America’s 250th birthday.

We recognize October as Disability Employment Awareness Month in Snohomish County and encourage all residents, visitors, and employers to join Snohomish County in honoring the contributions people with disabilities make to our community and economy. Join us in supporting individuals with disabilities in their pursuit for employment opportunities to ensure that workers with disabilities have access to good jobs every month of every year.
