We say “later” so casually because we assume the people, places and chances will still be there when we’re ready. We’ll visit when work calms down. Call when we have more time. Take the trip next year. Then life changes, someone is gone, circumstances shift, and suddenly the thing we kept postponing isn’t an option anymore. Sometimes the moments we miss most are the ones we thought we had plenty of time to make.

🌹Anxiety isn’t something people choose. Nobody wakes up wanting to overthink every message, replay conversations for hours, or feel their chest tighten over things that seem small to everyone else. It just happens uninvited, overwhelming and hard to explain. What is a choice is how we respond to people who live with it. Rolling your eyes, calling someone dramatic, or telling them they’re “too sensitive” doesn’t help. You don’t have to fully understand their anxiety to choose compassion over judgment. They’re already fighting a battle you can’t see.

No matter how busy life gets or how tired you feel, please remember to take care of yourself. Rest properly. Eat something that makes you feel good. Speak to yourself with a little kindness. You don’t have to earn rest, and you don’t have to prove your worth through exhaustion. The world will wait while you pause. You deserve care too not just when you’ve finished everything, but all the way through.
