MRT Treatment: Maltene Replacement Technology
This treatment (in laymen terms) adds the sticky component back into the aging pavement. Sealing minor cracks that allow water/ moisture to get below the surface and expand when frozen, creating potholes and other surface imperfections. Among other aging factors heat and UV rays deplete the Maltenes from the asphalt making it dry, allowing the small aggregates to start coming loose eventually allowing cracks to form.
APPLICATION PROCESS: Specialized equipment will apply MRT rejuvenator directly onto the pavement, material immediately begins to leach into the pavement where it stays active attaching to the dry aggregates. Once the material reaches a flash point, a light application of sand will be applied to soak up any residual liquid.
IF you do not follow direction from the traffic controllers, this will increase your chances of this material getting on your vehicle.
IF it happens to get on your vehicle any citrus spay cleaner will effortlessly remove it. IF you try to use just water and soap it will smear and make a mess. This material does not damage paint.
